Travel Diary Maui
When we arrived in Maui, we thought we would be stuck in a resort, eating resort food. We were happy to discover the history of the island, the historical figures who occupied the island and the delicious local foods.
In hindsight I used my travel diary to explore different rendering styles. I used iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and Procreate app to create these sketches (below) from photos after daily excursions to parts of Maui. My portrait style continues to evolve. I’m learning to keep the details uncomplicated yet maintain a recognizable figure.
