Everyday People In My Life

Before portraiture I created illustrations of sneakers and shoes worn by many of the people who crossed my path. I think footwear defines individual style. Later I looked upward to focus on the individual. I never looked back. I included my subjects’ histories in my work. They’re business owners, artists, students, and parents. They’re smart, confident, and hard workers.
