How I Designed A Beer Can Label

Label for Modern Methods Bijou Wheat Beer

Alex loves beer. When Modern Methods Brewing Company contacted to create a design to introduce their new wheat beer, he didn’t hesitate to get to work.

The owner of Modern Methods wanted share the beer making history of their brewmaster on the can. The label included the house where he started his brewing career. During his early years the brewmaster’s dog was ever present so he would be an essential part of the label.

Modern Methods presented two versions of their wheat beer. The first version was the traditional tasting wheat beer. The second version had a tangerine note. Of course two labels were created to represent wheat beer and wheat beer with tangerine where a slice of citrus represented the letter O.

A couple years later Modern Methods came back to Alex for another design. They introduced a peach flavored version of their wheat beer.
