Baklava Recipe and Cutting
The creative brief from Uppercase Magazine: a geometric interpretation of a favorite recipe or food. Below, he drew this recipe with an isometric perspective in mind. The hand lettered title of the piece was derived from Ancient Greek pottery. The heads surrounding the plate of baklava were a nod to Ancient Greek sculpture. He considered how a baker might cut trays of baklava too. The recipe didn’t quite meet the brief but the piece was included in an article of editor’s favorite recipes in a subsequent issue of Uppercase Magazine.
