Brennan Zimmermann Wedding Weekend Map

Add A Fun Map Your Wedding Invitation

Client and mother-of-the-groom was looking for a fun map to add to a wedding invitation for her son and future daughter-in-law. She wanted to share the places and restaurants the couple enjoyed in the city they call home, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was motivated to connect with me over a map of Tulsa Alex illustrated and posted on the website, They-Draw.com.

Alex and the client worked together to include icons of the couple’s favorite places, sites, and restaurants in downtown and metropolitan Tulsa. He crafted the title design and typeface. It was enthusiastically approved by the client and the bride-to-be. The couple will post it to their wedding website and print it for distribution to their guests. When Alex visits Tulsa he knows where to go for good food, coffee, art and culture.

Various cafes and hotels like Ambassador Hotel and Brut Hotel are marked.

Below, the map that was the inspiration for the Tulsa wedding map. Alex asked friends to tell him a little bit about their adopted cities since graduating from high school and moving away. He would draw a map of their new home. A friend moved to Tulsa for college and stayed to work as a school teacher. She married and raised a family. He was surprised by what he learned. Tulsa has the second highest concentration of Art Deco architecture in the United States and is the only city with “God Mod” architecture which is found on the campus of Oral Roberts University.
